The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had fish and chips. Very good. I am disable so the server brought my plate to the table. I sat outside and drank my coffee. I was living my best life today. Very beautiful patio view.
Beautiful place, at the heart of UC Berkeley. It is a welcoming place. The service was fantastic. Food was delicious with plenty of options based on own diet and preferences.
Great spot for grad students and faculty. A place to take visitors and special guests and also a great option for lunch during a busy week on campus. Hidden away in the trees behind Haas School of Business makes the venue feel more private. A good variety of menu options for hot lunch, breakfast or dinner. Dining ambiance spans from cafeteria style to white table cloth, you choose! Outdoor and indoor seating as well. Fabulous service during dinner from our waiter Marco. Wine was poured generously and New York steak cooked to perfection. Nice private dining spot with only a few full tables. Both the wine list and dining options fit on one page, but there’s enough variety to come back to a few times to try different entrees. I will back with family during graduation week. I’ve had really great experiences here dining that I’ve decided to try the hotel as well. Till then!
Hidden gem tucked away on campus that most Cal students don't realize is available to them. It's am upgrade from dining hall food.
Convenient, tasty, fast (grill lunch), and sophisticated! Their ice water for whatever reason tastes better than any other. I am kind of sad to see the prices increase every semester, but it’s understandable for the services and convenience they offer. Recommendations: if you don’t plan on ordering 10 (which is rare), bring cash. I would recommend skipping the bottled water - bad for the environment and 3-4!!
What a fantastic history rich setting this facility is & open for visitors dining. The staff were all so welcoming & gave me the full service treatment, providing the relevant historical significance of the building. My t bone steak was cooked as ordered along with my beet Greek salad were excellent. Couldn't have asked for more. They also hold private receptions & even wedding events on-site. The are same building operates a 21 room hotel. The rooms in are usually booked way ahead . Definitely a special place!
The atmosphere is relaxing in the long dark wood hall with high ceilings , a bldg designed by Maybeck in the early 20th century. I have had lunch at The Faculty Club nearly every day for a few months and they always have reasonably priced nutritious and well prepared food. The hrs they serve are 11:30-1:30pm and the week's menu is posted of their pre-prepared specials of the day fare which ranges from Chicken Cordon Bleu, Butternut Squash Ravioli, Borscht, Enchiladas, Salmon etc to the everyday Burger grill offerings including tacos and a salad bar.
Great piece of history on campus that also has decent food and a cool little bar tucked away on the corner. The staff are great to work with. Not sure what staying here is like but probably a step above a 3 star hotel. Book ahead of game day. Nice spot on campus.
